Michael (Mickey) Pyles, Russell Springs, KY (1972-2011)

He was a native of Adair Co. KY, and a member of a large, respected North Adair Co., KY family, with strong family ties in Adair, Russell, and Taylor Counties, KY.

Michael "Mickey" Pyles, age 39 years, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 9:40 A. M. at the UK Medical Center in Lexington after several months illness with cancer.

The funeral service will be Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Chris Murphy the officiating clergy. Interment in the New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Church RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the funeral home.

He was born Tuesday, May 2, 1972 in Columbia, Adair Co., KY. He was the son of Billy Pyles and Dennie Giles Pyles. He died Thursday, August 4, 2011, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at the age of 39 years, 3 months, and 2 days.He is survived by the following:
  • His father: Billy Pyles of Russell Springs, KY

  • His mother: Dennie Giles Pyles of Knifley, KY

  • One son: Drekken Cole Pyles, of Pellyton, KY

  • One daughter:Jadelyn Rose Pyles of Pellyton, KY

  • Two brothers: Jeff Pyles of Knifley, KY and Dusty Pyles of Elkhorn, KY

  • Three sisters: Angie Brumley of Jamestown, KY; Becky Lawson of Russell Springs, KY; Kayla Pyles of Russell Springs, KY

  • His maternal grandmother: Bonnie Giles of Knifley, KY
Expessions of sympathy may take the form of a donation toward funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home.Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
