She was a member of a respected Metcalfe County, and was of the Baptist faith.

Sarah Helen Mitchell age 73 of Glasgow died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton., KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Friday, July 29, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST. Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Mt Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT-8pmCT, Thursday, July 28, 2011, and after 9amCT, Friday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Eddie Lewis and Helen Nance Polson.

She was a former employee of Cee Bee Foods in Edmonton, KY, and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Mike (Diane) Bunch of South Carolina and Eddie Mitchell of Glasgow, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Travis Mitchell of Glasgow, KY; and Amanda Belcher of Rockfield, KY

  • One great grandchild: Baylee Jo Belcher

  • Three brothers: Robert (Margaret) Polson of Edmonton, KY; Gene (Winnie) Polson of Louisville, KY; and Sam Polson of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sisters: Anna Lee Stephenson of Glasgow, KY; and Brenda Polson of Edmonton, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Mitchell.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
