Glenna Mann, Adair Co., KY (1939-2011)

She was a member of a large, highly regarded East Adair County family. She was a member of the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Russell Co., KY, and was a retired employee of the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY after 20 years service there. Her death occurred on her birthday, July 26.

Glenna Mann age 72 of Columbia, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her home.

Funeral service Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1pmCT,. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY with Bro. Vernon Luttrell officiating. Burial will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery, 6090 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.



Casket Bearers: Dennis Hargis, Steven Breeding, Anthony Alley, Keith Murray, Roger Burton and Donald Burton.

She was born in Adair County, KY on Wednesday, July 26, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Anna Mary Foster Burton. She died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at her home in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of exactly 72 years.

She was a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Russell County, KY, and a retired employee of Greenhill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, having worked there for over 20 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Mann, and three brothers, Harold Burton, Edward Wayne Burton, and Bobby Dale Burton.

Survivors the following:
  • Three daughters: Pam Helm and her husband Gary of Columbia, KY; Carolyn Breeding and her husband Wade of Greensburg, KY; and Teresa Hargis and her husband Dwayne of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Freddie Burton of Columbia, KY and Roger Burton of Vine Grove, KY

  • Two sisters: Sherry Cook and Cathy Lawless both of Columbia, KY

  • Her step mother: Evelyn Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends also survive
