Ollie Moore, Edmonton, KY (1921-2011)

She was a member of a highly regarded Metcalfe Co., KY, family. She was retired from Mercy Hospital in Hamilton, OH, and was a member of the the Edmonton Worship Center

Ollie Moore age 90 of Edmonton, Kentucky formerly of Hamilton, Ohio died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Friday, July 22, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Whitaker-Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30amCT,until service time Friday at the funeral home.



Ollie Moore was born in Laurel Co., KY, Thursday, July 14, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucy Sullivan Brock. She died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at her home in Edmonton, Metcalfe Co., KY, at the age of 90 years, and 3 days.

She was retired from Mercy Hospital in Hamilton and a member of the Edmonton Worship Center.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Joyce (Ray) Whitaker of Edmonton, KY

  • One stepson: Everett Moore

  • Three siblings: Charlie (Edith) Brock, Hettie Baker and Lillie Schooley

  • Three grandchildren: Terry (Brenda) Whitaker, Susan Rea (Gary) Hornek and Andrea (Trey) Kullman

  • Four great grandchildren: Michelle (Zack) Burcham, Sara (Scotty) Shirley, Alayna and Allison Rea

  • Three great great grandchildren: Eli Whitaker, Maya and Evie Shirley

  • Several step grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Everett Moore. Four brothers Robert, Walter, Earl and Fred Brock. One sister Mary Rose Baker.
