Darrell Shipp, Taylor Co., KY (1948-2011)

He was a member of a respected Taylor Co., KY family. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Anaconda in Summersville, KY, for 20 years.

Darrell Shipp, 63, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:04pmET, Saturday, July 16, 2011, in Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be after 10amET/9amCT, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY. Funeral services will be at 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the funeral home, by Rev. Danny Nelson. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Joe Calhoun, Charlie Creason, Jerry Dile, Jerry Durrett, Paul Jones, Welby Martin, Michael Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, and David Smith.

Darrell Shipp, Taylor Co., KY (1948-2011)

Darrell Shipp was the son of Nell Brockman Shipp and the late Gilbert Shipp. He was born in Taylor Co., KY, Tuesday, June 15, 1948. He died at 4:04pmET, Saturday, July 16, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY at the age of 63 years, 1 month, and 1 day.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church.

He was a former employee of Anaconda in Summersville for twenty years.

He is survived by the following:
  • His Mother:Nell Shipp of Campbellsville, KY

  • One niece and one nephew: Beth Sanders and Chris Ferguson and wife, Amanda, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three great-nephews and two great-nieces: Aaron Bottoms, Jason Sanders, Dalton Beams, Darlene Ferguson, and Naomi Ferguson

  • Lifetime friend: Janford Agee of Columbia, KY

  • And several other relatives and many friends
He was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Ferguson June 11, 1979.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to funeral expenses which may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
