She was a member of a large, respected Metcalfe Co., KY family and a member of Lone Star Baptist Church

Amanda Nell Hines age 92 of Edmonton died Friday July 15, 2011 at the Metcalfe County Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Monday, July 18, 2011, at the Lone Star Baptist Church, 3867 Lone Star RD, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm-8pmCT, at the Butler Funeral Home. 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY.



She was the daughter of the late J.T. and Dora Lester Froedge and a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Carl (Laverne) Hines of Edmonton, KY

  • One daughter: Janie (Cleveland) Francis of Louisville, KY

  • Two grandsons: Alan Francis of Edmonton, KY; and Gene (Janice) Hines of Glasgow, KY

  • One granddaughter: Mandy Francis (Jeff Wood) of Louisville, KY

  • One great granddaughter: Melinda (Matthew) Riggs of Clarkson, KY

  • One great great grandson: Mason Riggs of Clarkson, KY

  • Five nephews and five nieces
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Hines, three brothers Buell, Wallace, and Paul Froedge, three sisters Gertrude Blankenship, Perrie Hurt, Mardelle Grimsley, and seven nephews.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
