She was a native of Adair Co., KY and a member of a large, respected family with strong ties in Adair and Taylor Counties. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Campbellsville, KY

Katie Pyles, 68, of Elk Horn, KY, died at 7:59pmET, Monday, July 4, 2011 in Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Thursday, July 7, 2011, by Bro. Jody Perkins, a the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 9amET/8amCT, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY.



Katie Pyles, Taylor Co., KY (1942-2011)

Katie Pyles was the daughter of the late Kenneth Pyles and Eula Grant Pyles. She was born October 4, 1942, in Adair Co., KY. She died Monday, July 4, 2011 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at the age of 68 years and 9 months..

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and one daughter: Marshall Ray Sneed and wife, Joyce of Columbia, KY; Thomas Sneed and wife, Shelly of Knifley, KY; and Teresa Shepherd Hill and husband, Clyde of Americus, GA

  • Two grandsons: Ryan Sneed of Columbia, KY; and Levi Sneed of Knifley, KY

  • One great granddaughter, Kaylee Brooke Sneed

  • Two brothers and five sisters: Terry Lee Pyles of Amarillo, TX; Jeffrey Pyles and wife, Paula of Greensburg, KY; Barbara Flatt, Rita Smith and husband, Larry and Bernadine Drake of Columbia, KY; Betty Jo Kearney and husband, Larry of Campbellsville, KY; and Patricia Wong and husband, Irvin of California

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Lyndal Pyles and Cindy Rowe.The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Funeral Expenses and may be made at the Parrot & Ramsey Funeral Home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
