Glen Hubbard, Taylor Co., KY (1920-2011)

He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Haydon Oil Co.

Glen Hubbard, 91, died at 7:42amET, Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service is at 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Otis Skaggs. Burial will be in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard


Pallbearers: Robert Ashburn, Ricky Barnes, Bobby Brown, Troy Brown, Darrell Gribbins, Garry Hubbard, Jr.; and Matt Rainwater.

Glen Hubbard was the son of the late Joe Hubbard and Eunice Ida Clark Hubbard. He was born, Sunday, May 2, 1920, in Bloomington, McLean Co., IL. He died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 24 days.

He professed faith in Christ and attended the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Haydon Oil Company.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters and one son: Lorena Glen Hubbard, Gary "Monkey" Hubbard and wife, Sharon; Mildred Hubbard Sorrells and Karen Hubbard Williams, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Troy Brown, Gary Hubbard, Jr., Donna Hubbard, Darrell Gribbins, Sherry Gribbins, Carrie Jo DeSpain, Bobby Brown, Matt Rainwater, Leslie Hogue and Melinda Hubbard

  • Nineteen great-grandchildren

  • One brother, Bob Hubbard and wife, Jean of Shelbyville, Indiana

  • Mother of his children: Justeen Judd of Campbellsville, KY

  • Special friend, Rosie Read of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Amuel Hubbard; one grandson, Tony Hubbard and three brothers: Coy Hubbard, Bill Hubbard and Harlen Hubbard.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
