She was a member of a highly regarded Russell County family and the widow of Bro. James L. Skaggs. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Theola B. Skaggs, Half Acre RD, Jamestown, KY, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Russell Co. Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT, Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David South officiating. Special music will be rendered by Rachel Story. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be at McBeath Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Kendall Skaggs, Samuel Skaggs, Steven Conner, Allen Story, Nathan Skaggs, and Ottis Skaggs.

She was born in Russell County, KY, June 13, 1924. She died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 28 days.

She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. James L. Skaggs; two sisters, Enola Woolridge and Agnes Miller; and one brother, Bill Russell.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four children: Linda Skaggs, Russell Springs, KY; Larry D. (Marcia) Skaggs, Russell SPrings, KY; Lynn Skaggs, Seymour, IN; and Kenneth L. (Marla) Skaggs, Russell Springs, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • Four Sisters: Mary (Ed) Skaggs; Gladys (Ernest) Dunbar, both of Jamestown, KY; Lois Connor, Russell Springs, KY; and Ruth (Johnny) Chapman, Brownstown, IN

  • Two brothers: Forest 9Louise Russell, Jr., Indiana; and Glen (Margie) Russell Springs, KY
The Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
