Ida L. Garrett, passed away Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 92.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday June 12, 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Darren Gillespie officiating. Burial is at Salem Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday 6pm-9pmET, 5pm/8pmCT, at the funeral Home.



Ida L. Garrett, Casey Co., KY (1918-2011)

She was born in Casey Co. KY, on Monday, August 8, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Anderson and Margaret Pendelton Lewellen. She died Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Liberty, Casey Co., KY, at the age of 92 years, 10 months, and 1 day.

She was the widow of Cleo Garrett.

She was retired from Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters, Imagene Pierce and Jeweldean Griffin both of Cincinnati, OH, and Judy Allen of Dunnville, KY

  • Three grandchildren, Travis Pierce Jr., Troy Pierce and Carla Hogue

  • And 11 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Veral Garrett; four brothers, John, Theadore, Willie and Hershel Lewellen; and four sisters, Lena Propes, Della Vaughn, Bertha Woods and Elsie Garrett and a great grandchild.McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
