Gladys C. Thomas, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2011 at her home in Liberty, KY. She was 95.

Funeral services are at 11amET/10amCT, Friday June 10, 2011 at the Liberty First Christian Church with Bro. Homer Hecht officiating. Burial is in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, June 9, 2011, 6pm-9pmET/5pm8pmCT, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY.



Gladys C. Thomas, Casey Co., KY (1915-2011)

Born Sunday August 15, 1915 in Clarksville, Montgomery Co., TN, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Clara Mae Geisser Cotham. She died in Liberty, Casey Co., KY, on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the age of 95 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

She was a civil servant, home economist, and member of Liberty First Christian Church.

She is the widow of Otis Clifton Thomas.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two grandchildren: Clara Elaine Robinson of Liberty and Stuart Stebleton of Boca Raton, FL

  • Two stepgrandchildren: Tommy Neal Allen of Louisville, KY; and Angie Gaskins of Louisville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • five great-great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by daughter, Clara Ann Morrison; step-daughter, Jeanette Allen; brother, J.C. Cotham and two sisters, Mary Frances Phillips and Alice "Susie" Johnson.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
