Sharon Lee Meek Wilson, 75, died at 2:38amET, Friday, June 3, 2011, in Lexington, KY.

Interment was at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. No services will be conducted. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon RD, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.



Sharon Lee Meek Wilson, Richmond, KY, (1935-2011)

Sharon Lee Meek Wilson was the daughter of the late Bryan Meek and Edith J. Bell Meek. She was born in Brown County, IN, July 28, 1935. She died Friday, June 3, 2011, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 6 days.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Foster T. Wilson December 23, 1953. He preceded her in death October 17, 1971.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and one son: Brenda Kay Wright (Tony) of Campbellsville, KY; and Michael E. Wilson of Richmond, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Shannon Wilson (Susie), Jennifer Rogers (Robbie) and Tonya Benningfield (Jan) of Campbellsville, KY

  • Eight great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-grandson

  • Two brothers: Max Bryan Meek (Glenda) of Lebanon, KY; and Terry Eugene Meek (Donna) of Richmond, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Central Kentucky, or a charity of your choice and may be made at the funeral home.

The family would especially like to thank Hospice of the Bluegrass and the Markey Cancer Center.
