Trixie C. McCandless Lane, formerly of Metcalfe Co., KY (1922-2011)

She was a member of a large, highly regarded Metcalfe Co., KY family. She lived in Metcalfe County until 1975 when she moved to Campbellsville, KY In 2005 she moved to Danville, KY, for the remainder of her life. She worked over 25 years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Trixie C. McCandless Lane age 88 of Danville, Kentucky died Saturday May 21 at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville. She was born December 13, 1922 in Metcalfe County.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be on Monday 4pm-9pmCT, and after 9amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lane Cemetery in Green County.

Trixie C. McCandless Lane was born December 13, 1922 in Metcalfe Co., KY. She died May 21, 2011, in Danville, Boyle Co., KY, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Gary (Doris) of Danville, KY; and Teddy (Carolyn) Lane of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Charlotte (Jimmy) Turner of Russell Springs, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • Two great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Glen W. Lane; two sons, Ronald Wilson Lane and Mark Brown Lane; five brothers, James Buford McCandless, Stanley Ralph McCandless, Brown McCandless Jr., Bill Tom McCandless and Joe Ray McCandless; and two sisters, Mary Eugenia McCandless and Ruie Evelyn McCandless.The Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
