Leola Sallee, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6:08pmET, Monday, May 9, 2011, in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services were at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Troy Elmore. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Camapbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Perry Bohanon, Mike Bowen, Gerald Harmon, Randall Harmon, Larry Mardis, Terry Mardis, John Patterson, and Wayne Stearman.

Leola Sallee was the daughter of the late James H. Mardis and Dellie Sullivan Mardis. She was born in Taylor Co., KY, Sunday, January 13, 1924. She died Monday, May 9, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to Joey Sallee November 21, 1945. He preceded her in death April 11, 1993.

She is survived by the following:
  • One brother and three sisters: Thomas Mardis, Louise Bohanon, Bernice Bowen and husband, J. R. and Betty Stearman of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters in law, Pauline Mardis of Campbellsville, KY; and Gwen Sallee of Saybrook, IL

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Charles Mardis and Lela Harmon.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
