Tulsa Royce Coomer, age 85, of Louisville, KY, a native of Adair Co., KY passed away Saturday, May 9, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY

Funeral service Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 1pmET/12pm noon CT at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie HWY., Louisville, KY. Interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be at 10amET/9amCT to funeral time on Tuesday, May 10, 2011.



He was the son of the late Marvin and Avis Mildred Wilson Coomer of Adair Co., KY.He was preceded in death by his wife Jonell Rose Coomer in 1984.

He is survived by the following:
  • One sister and two brothers: Jenola Ripley of Columbia, KY; James Allen Coomer of Columbia, KY; Larry Coomer of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: A special sister-in-law Arzola Coomer of Louisville, KY
He was a member of Shively United Methodist Church, a retired electrician for Brown and Williamson, and an Army and Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.
