Ernestine Groves Motley, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Adair County, died Thursday,April 7, 2011 at 6:58 A.M. at Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service, Monday, April 11, 2011 at 12 noon CT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY with Rev. Calvin T. Vaughn delivering the eulogy. Burial in Bridgewater Cemetery, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.



Ernestine Groves Motley, formerly of Adair Co., KY (1941-20110)

She was born April 22, 1941, in Green Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Tom H. and Louise Anderson Groves. She died Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 11 days.

She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tunce Motley in June 2009.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Ricky D. Groves of Cincinnati, OH, Timothy Groves of Campbellsville, KY

  • One daughter: Janet E. Groves of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Harlan and his wife Jane Groves of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Flora Groves of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two step brothers: O.D. Johnson of Lexington, Forest and his wife Wyanetta Johnson of Chicago, IL

  • One step-sister: Annette Branch of Chicago, IL

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • Two aunts and a host of other relatives and friends
