LWC Softball sweeps Campbellsville at Lindsey Wilson Park

The 19th ranked Lindsey Wilson College softball team used home runs from Ally Goniea and Kaylee Garrett in game one and a shutout pitching performance from Morgan Paschall in game two to sweep Campbellsville (KY) University 4-3 and 2-0 on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Lindsey Wilson Park, 820 Hanley LN, Columbia, KY.

Campbellsville University's Kacie Vincent looks to the safe call by home plate umpire Larry Szczapinski in the top of the fourth inning of the first game of the Thursday, March 31, 2011 doubleheader against Lindsey Wilson College, played at Blue Raider Field. Vincent, who eluded the tag of LWC's Anyibell Ramirez, gave Campbellsville a temporary 2-1 lead when she scored on a passed ball. LWC, ranked No. 19 in the NAIA, rallied to win the game 4-3 and then swept the doubleheader with a 2-0 win in the nightcap.

Vincent led off the inning with a double and came around to score, but LWC won the game 4-3. The Blue Raiders, ranked No. 19 in the NAIA, swept Campbellsville with a 2-0 win in the nightcap.

Lindsey Wilson College senior designated player Ally Goniea of Falcon, CO, drives a pitch out of Blue Raider Field in the first game of the Thursday, March 31, 2011, doubleheader against Campbellsville University, played at Blue Raider Field. Goniea's third home run of the season tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning, and the Blue Raiders went on to win the game 4-3. Blue Raiders, ranked No. 19 in the NAIA, swept Campbellsville with a 2-0 win in the nightcap.
