Larry Coop, age 58, of Louisville, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 2:04pmCT, at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Carl Thomas officiating. Burial will in the Rose of Sharon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-9pmCT on Friday, April 1, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, in Burkesville.Masonic Services will be held on Friday evening at 6pmCT, at the funeral home. The lodge will open for members at 5pmCT.



Larry Coop, Cumberland Co., KY native (1952-2011)

Larry was born in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, on December 4, 1952. He was the son of the late Flora Thacker Coop, and the late Estell David Coop. He died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ruel Coop; and two sisters, Edna Uzell Bryant; and Eunice Guffey.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, was a retired truck driver for Milan Express Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Cumberland Masonic Lodge #413, and of Burkesville Order of the Eastern Star #380.

Survivors the following:
  • His wife: Rebecca Riddle Coop, Louisville, KY

  • One son: Jimmy Wright of Louisville, KY

  • Two brothers: Rev. Carlos H. Coop of Burkesville, KY; and Howard Coop of Lancaster, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Brittany Wright, Brooklyn Wright, Casey Wright, Hannah Wright, Dakota Wright, and Mark Wright

  • Two great granddaughters: Elizabeth and Lillie

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
