Jammies for Japan: Students raise funds for relief Students raise nearly $1,000 for Salvation Army Earthquake-Tsunami Relief Fund - three times their original goal of $300! School District The tragedy in Japan captured the hearts and minds of a group of sixth-grade students at Adair County Elementary School. As a result of their efforts, students at ACES were allowed to wear their pajamas to school in exchange for a donation to the Salvation Army Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Relief Fund. Students raised nearly a thousand dollars - well beyond their three-hundred dollar goal. Supervising teachers were Rachel Bardin and Miranda Ellis.
