CU Percussion Ensemble concert is March 31, 2011

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The Campbellsville University Percussion Ensemble will present a concert on Thursday, March 31 at 8pmET/7pmCT, in The Gheens Recital Hall in the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University DR, Campbellsville, KY.

Chad Floyd, assistant professor of music, directs the ensemble.

The theme of the program is Music for Chamber Percussion Ensemble and will feature works written for marimba quartets and sextet, xylophone rags, drum quartets, and pieces featuring mixed instrumentation. The performance includes works of composers such as Steve Reich, George Green and Dave Samuels.

The Campbellsville University Percussion Ensemble is comprised of the following members: Byeonggwan Kim from Korea, Mary Gray from Owensboro, KY, Trevor Ervin from Glasgow, KY, Garrett Baker from Bowling Green, KY, Courtney Welsh from Lawrenceburg, KY, Alyssa Gnadiger from Munfordville, KY, Nathan Wilkerson from Munfordville, KY, and Aron Neal from Cincinnati, OH.
