Information wanted on proper disposal of US Flag Doug McCammish writes: I'm hoping some of our local veterans have solved the problem of disposing of worn-out flags. As I recall, a retired US flag is supposed to be burned with ceremony and respect. Our big flags (6' x 10') become worn after about a year of the wind up on this hill and have to be retired.
