Eugene Blankenship, Taylor Co., KY native (1931-2011) died at 6:53amCT, Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Owensboro, KY.

The funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Fred Miller. Burial will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. A Masonic service will be at 7pmET/6pmCT, Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Monday, March 14, 2011, at the funeral home.


Eugene Blankenship, Taylor Co., KY native (1931-2011)

Eugene Blankenship was born in Taylor Co., KY, Thursday, October 15, 1931. He was the son of the late Oscar Owen Blankenship and Anna Belle Arvin Blankenship. He died at 6:53A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 25 days.

He was a retired employee of Ashland Oil Corporation.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Owensboro.He was a member of the Owensboro Masonic Lodge #130 F&AM.

He is survived by the following:
  • A sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Clay Rogers of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother: Lois Burress, Ruby Blankenship, Thelma Marlow, Vera Williams, Nan Witrick, Beulah Bright, Geneva Brown, and J. C. Blankenship.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
