Inis Pierce, 90, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 1pmCT at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Dr. Mark Shelton officiating. Burial in the Burkesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 9pmCT, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY



Inis Pierce, Cumberland Co., KY (1920-2011)

She was born in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, on Wednesday, March 10, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Trannie Lee Graham Riddle, and the late Porter H. Riddle. She died Monday, March 7, 2011, in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, at the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Pierce,3 Brothers, Illus Riddle; James Riddle; Waymon Riddle; 2 Sisters, Ira Young; Virgie Branham; 5 Step-Children, Everett M. Pierce; Hubert Pierce; Irvin Pierce; James Cortis Pierce; Lureda Pierce.

Inis was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church and was a retired dietary aide at Cumberland County Hospital.

Survivors Include the following:
  • One son: Marcus Pierce of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: Robert Riddle of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sisters: Eunice Anderson of Glasgow, KY; Mary Richards of New Albany, IN

  • One granddaughter: Allison Shaw and her husband Freddie of Burkesville, KY

  • One great grandson: Adam Shaw of Burkesville, KY

  • Thre step children: Kenneth Pierce of Burkesville, KY; Russell Pierce of Louisville, KY; Shirley Murphy of Burkesville, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY in charge of arrangements.
