Woody Reece, 84, of Shelbyville, IN, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 12:14amET, at the Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. with burial in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Friday, March 4, 2011, at the funeral home.

He was born November 30, 1926 in Peasley, MO. He was the son of late Gilford and Bertha Roach Reece. He died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Shelbyville, Addison Township, Shelby Co., IN on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the age of 84 years, 3 months, and 2 days..

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, was retired from the bakery department of Kroger and was a member of Burch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Burris Reece, Shelbyville, IN, and the following:
  • Two children: Steve Reece of Shelbyville, IN, Debbie Baker of Cincinnati, OH

  • Four brothers: Clarence, Gilford Jr., Russell and Tommy Reece all of Louisville, KY

  • Three sisters: Lucille Coomer, Bessie Knight and Lynette Steinmetz all of Louisville, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Two great-grandchildren.
