Floy Cox, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 12:10pmET, Friday, February 25, 2011 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services are at 2:00pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Bob Cutler. Burial is in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.



Floy Cox, Taylor Co., KY (1917 - 2011)

Floy Cox was the daughter of the late Ben D. Cox and Fannie Cox. She was born in Taylor Co., KY, Wednesday, July 4, 1917. She died Friday, February 25, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 93 years, 7 months, and 21 days.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bible Baptist Tabernacle.

She was a retired nurse's aid at Metzmeier Nursing Home.

She united in marriage to James Herman Cox in 1940. He preceded her indeath in 1960.

She is survived by the following:
  • A son: James A. Cox of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Gail Shofner and Susan Shofner of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Jeffrey David Muncie, Jedidiah Lee Rash, Keely Rash, Justin Begley and Job Hunt of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two great-great-granddaughters: Kileigh Begley and Jocelyn Begley of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Bonnie Robison of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter: Donald Cox and Annetta Shofner and one brother and three sisters: Lanous Cox, Ethel Simpson, Zelma Bottoms and Flora Cox.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
