Respect for the living and the dead 'Then we got to Adair County. Things changed,' Martha Lacy noticed the day of her aunt's funeral. And writes, 'Thanks, again, Adair County.' By Martha Lacy Commentary February 15 2011, my dear sweet aunt's funeral was in Glasgow and the burial was in Columbia at Haven Hill. We came the Cumberland Parkway. The people who were on the parkway were so rude. There were people cutting in the funeral procession and even a car hauler cut in and out. Then when we got to Adair County. Things changed. Every car that we met would stop or pull over to show respect. To our family that meant a lot . My cousins are from all over the United States and they even noticed the way that our county showed the respect. I want to say a special thanks to all of the people in our county for the respect that they showed our family yesterday. Please remember that a family notices a little thing as this.Respect goes a long way. Thanks again, Adair County. -Martha Lacy This story was posted on 2011-02-16 18:14:28
