Roy Edward Capps, 87, of Burkesville, KY (the Peytonsburg Community) passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at his residence in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 1pmCT, at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Charles Huddleston officiating. Burial in the Perkins Cemetery.Visitation will be after 3pmCT on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Inc. in Burkesville.

Roy was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, April 18, 1923. He was the son of the late Hettie Long Capps, and the late Andrew Bennett Capps. He died February 8, 2011, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 21 days.

Survivors Include the following:
  • His wife: Gentlev Groce Capps, Burkesville, KY

  • One son: Roy Lonnie Capps and his wife Tina of Smiths Grove, KY

  • Four step-grandchildren: Chrissy (Stephen) Hogan of Bowling Green, KY; Colin (Carrie) Leonard of Smiths Grove, KY; Jason (Melissa) Leonard of Oakland, KY; and Kevin (Kim) Leonard of Bowling Green, KY
Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main ST, Burkesville, KY in charge of arrangements.
