Mrs. Willie Marjorine Lile Atwell, 85 of Hardyville, KY, departed this life on Monday, February 7, 2011 at her home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Willie Marjorine Lile Atwell will be conducted at 1pmCT, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Whickerville Cemetery in Monroe, Hart Co., KY. Bro. Keith Atwell will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm until 8pmCT., Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Ronnie Pruitt, Kerry Overfelt, Jimmy White, Lanny Bastin, Dean Blevins, and Bobby Huff.

Willie Marjorine Lile Atwell, Metcalfe Co., KY native (1925-2010)

Mrs. Willie Marjorine Lile Atwell of Hardyville, KY, daughter of the late Abb Lile and Beulah Judd Lile, was born on Tuesday, February 10, 1925 in the Crail Hope, in Metcalfe KY, and departed this life on Monday, February 7, 2011 in Hardyville, Hart Co., KY. She was 85 years, 11 months and 28 days of age.

She united in marriage to Kenneth Atwell on July 21, 1945 who survives.

In addition to her husband, other survivors include the following:
  • A son: James R. Atwell of Hardyville, KY

  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Linda Overfelt, and Carol Ann and Noah Arnett all of Hardyville, KY

  • A grandson: Kenny Arnett of Hardyville, KY

  • Two great-grandchildren: Nicki White and her husband Jimmy of Glasgow, KY, and Kane Thomas Arnett of Magnolia, KY

  • Special caregiver: Kim Pruitt of Hardyville, KY

  • And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Mrs. Atwell was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jimmy Wayne Atwell on December 23, 1994; and a son-in-law: Jerry Overfelt on December 3, 2007.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
