Mr. Carl Rich Thompson, 84, Green Co., KY, departed this life Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home in Leitchfield, KY, having attained the age of eighty-four years and twenty-nine days.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be after 2pmCT, Tuesday, February 1, 2011, and after 7amCT, Wednesday, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. President James Gled Hill will officiate. Interment will be in the Pierce Community Cemetery, Green Co., KY.



Mr. Carl Rich Thompson, Green Co., KY (1926-2011)

Mr. Carl Rich Thompson was born Thursday, December 30, 1926 in Green Co., KY. He was the son of the late Marvin E Thompson and Tressie Froggett Thompson. He departed this life Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home in Leitchfield, Grayson Co., KY, having attained the age of 84 years and 29 days.

He had a made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Wilbert and Wallace Thompson, Florence Wilcoxson and Isabel Jenson.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys M. Thompson and the following:

  • One son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Crickett Thompson of Leitchfield, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Sam and Louise Thompson of Greensburg, KY, and Paul Yates and Gayle Thompson of North Carolina

  • Two grandchildren: Adam and Christina Thompson and Brandon and Karol Thompson

  • Two great grandchildren: Ethan and Alexis Thompson and one step great grandchild: Kyle
Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
