Mr. Calvin Lewis Curry of Summersville, KY departed this life on Saturday, January 22, 2011 in Summersville, KY, due to a farming accident. He was 35 years, 1 month and 13 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Calvin Lewis Curry will be conducted at 1pmCT, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Curry Family Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby and Bro. Dannie Nelson will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm-9pmCT,, Monday, January 24, 2011, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Tuesday, January 25, 2011, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Mike Akin, Shawn Carter, Russell Bradshaw, Larry Eads, Jason Miilby, Greg Curry, Junior Curry, Davie Milby, and Nate Webb. Honorary pallbearers: Green County High School Class of 1994. Sean Wright.

Mr. Calvin Lewis Curry of Summersville, Kentucky, son of Charlie Curry and Glenda Mae Curry both of Greensburg, was born on Tuesday, December 9, 1975 in Taylor Co., KY,and departed this life on Saturday, January 22, 2011 in Summersville, Green Co., KY. He was 35 years, one month and 13 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a member of the Green County High School Class of 1994.

  • His step-mother: Deany Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • Step father: Glen "Moon" Matney of Greensburg, KY

  • Grandmother: Ethel Adams of Greensburg, KY

  • Step grandmother: Helen Underwood of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Carlos and Samantha Curry of Mt. Sherman, KY and Kevin and Amanda Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters and a brother-in-law: Anna and Danny Curry of Greensburg, KY; and Anissa Matney and her companion Stephen Brockman of Greensburg, KY

  • Two nephews: Brayden Carter and Bryson Curry both of Greensburg, KY

  • Eleven uncles

  • Four aunts

  • And a host of other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Curry was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Leo Adams, Rev. Stanley and Lorene Curry and Wayne Underwood.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
