Adam Joseph Farris, 30, of the Eli community in Russell Co., KY, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 12:55pmCT at the Russell Co. Hospital Emergency Room, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service: Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST (MAP), Columbia, KY, with Bro. Eugene McCawley officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill, Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD (MAP), Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the funeral home.

Adam Joseph Farris was born Thursday, December 18, 1980 in Anderson, Madison Co., IN. He died Thursday, January 20, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 30 years, 1 month, and 2 days.

He was a graduate of the Adair Adult Learning Center, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a firefighter with Eli Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two children: Courtney Farris and Caleb Farris both of Russell Springs, KY

  • His mother: Sandy Stone McGowan of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Misty Farris of Alexandria, IN

  • His step-father: Troy McGowan of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two step-brothers: Lance and Blake McGowan both of Russell Springs, KY

  • His father and step-mother: Dexter and Robin Farris of Maryville, TN

  • Several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews

  • Special neighbors, Allen and Monica Widmeyer

  • And the mother of his children, Shay Robertson Farris of Russell Springs, KY
