2011 State 4-H Shooting Sports Camp is coming up By Tony Rose Adair County Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development Are you between the ages of 9 and 13 and do you have an interest in shooting sports. Then the State 4-H Shooting Sports camp might be of interest to you. The camp will be held on March 30- April 2, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp 17575 Hwy. 196, Nancy, KY. (MAP) 4-H members will have the opportunity to attend Shooting Sports Camp. During the camp, 4-H'ers learn safety and ethical handling of their firearms. Certified instructors will be presenting classes and range work. Each camper will learn responsible and safe use of firearms and how to shoot in the six disciplines of the shooting sports program. The six disciplines are: rifle, trap, archery, hunter challenge, and black powder pistol. Firearms and ammunition will be supplied to all the campers to use. Any camper, who does not have their orange card, will have the opportunity to qualify for it during the camp. There is a $120.00 registration fee that covers all expenses at camp and crafts.
