Obituary: Charles (C.C.) Floyd, 78, Russell Co., KY

He was a native of Adair Co., KY, a carpenter, and a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church

Charles "C.C." Floyd, 78, Hwy1611, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, January 10, 2011, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 12, 1911, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Troy Grider the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation is after 4pmCT, Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the funeral home.



Charles "C.C." Floyd, Russell Co., KY (1932-2011)

Charles "C.C." Hume was born in Adair Co., KY, on Thursday, September 15, 1932. He was the son of the late Mattie Ella Rooks Floyd and Charles Henry Floyd. He died January 10, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

He was a carpenter and a member of the Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Blaine Floyd; one brother, James Floyd: and two sisters, Thelma Wells and Nellie Corbin.

He is survived by his wife, Adine Kelsey Floyd, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One sister: Carrie Lindsey, Louisville, KY

  • One brother: Alvis (Emilene) Floyd, Columbia, KY

  • And several nieces and nephews
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
