Obituary: Mary Helen McElroy, 70, Russell Co., KY

She was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY, family and was a factory worker.

Mary Helen McElroy, Village DR, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The Funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner DR, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Garnett Hammond officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Russell Springs Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.



Mary Helen McElroy, Russell Co., KY (1940-2011)

Mary Helen McElroy was born Saturday, June 1, 1940, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Harold Paul Sullivan and Pearly Mae (Pierce) Sullivan. She died Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

She was a factory worker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Sherry Keeny, Somerset, KY; and Linda Kay (Michael) Marcum, Russell Springs, KY

  • One son: Dean (Teresa) McElroy, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Keith Sullivan, Louisville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Jeremy C. Thomas, Joseph Marcum, Casey McElroy, Jordan Walters, and Cody McElroy

  • One great grandson: Haydn Walters
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brandy Thomas.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner DR, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
