She was a member of a respected Cumberland Co., KY, family, of the Baptist Faith, and was retired from Bob Evans and Sutton Shirt, and had been a cook at the Cumberland Co., Hospital.

Aileen Logan Scott, age 87, of Celina RD, Burkesville, Ky., passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Clinton County Hospital in Albany, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday January 11, 2011 at 11amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY. with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial in the Perkins Cemetery at Kettle, KY. Visitation is after 6pmCT,. Monday, January 10, 2011, until the funeral hour Tuesday at Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY.



Aileen Logan Scott, 87, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2010)

She was born in the Kettle Creek Community of Cumberland Co, Ky., on Friday, April 13, 1923, the daughter of W.H. Logan and Clura Pruitt Logan. She died Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Albany, Clinton Co., KY, at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 27 days.

She was a retired cook at the hospital, a seamstress at Sutton Shirt and Bob Evans and she was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Logan, and Annie Mae Long, an infant sister, and infant brother.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her son: Junior Curtis Scott of Indianapolis, IN

  • Her daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Preston Groce of Beaumont, KY

  • Her sister Mollie Scott of Indianapolis, IN

  • Her grandchildren: Allen Curtis Scott, Connie Jo Humes, Billy Scott, and Jennifer Scott

  • Her Great Grandchildren, Casey, Caleb, Cameron, Noelle Katherine, and Lilly
