He was the head of a large, respected Cumberland Co., KY, family. He leaves 38 direct living descendants. He was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II

Hase Spears passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, KY.

The funeral service for Hase Spears will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1pmCT, at the Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Christian Chapel RD off KY 485 in Cumberland Co, KY. The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec 20, 2010 from 5pm-9pmCT, at the Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home. 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY



Hase Spears, Cumberland Co., KY (1920-2010)

Hase Spears was born Friday, May 28, 1920 in Cumberland Co, KY to Burr Spears and Bertha Barger Spears. He died Saturday, December 18, 2010, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 20 days.

He was an active member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ, and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Sharp Spears of Burkesville, KY, and the following:
  • Daughters: Martha Ann Keen of Burkesville, KY; and Betty June Conrad and her husband Daniel of Edmonton, KY

  • Sons: Donnie Spears of Burkesville, KY; and Larry Spears and his wife Liz of Burkesville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Twenty four great grandchildren

  • Two great great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
