Obituary: Margaret Acree, 83, Taylor Co., KY

She was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church

Margaret Acree, 83, Campbellsville, KY, died at 6:59 A.M., Thursday, November 25, 2010 inElizabethtown.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Parrott& Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, byRev. Brent Gupton and Dr. Charles Hedrick. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Jonathan Cook, Brian Franklin, Scott Franklin, David Smith, Terry Smith, and Gary Warner.

Margaret Acree, Taylor Co., KY (1927-2010)

Margaret Acree was the daughter of the late Wilbur K. Smithand Myrtie Pearl Durham Smith. She was born in Taylor Co., KY,Wednesday, September 7, 1927. She died Thursday, November 25, 2010 inElizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY, at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 18 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview BaptistChurch.

She united in marriage to Garland Odell Acree in December, 1947. Hepreceded her in death November 3, 1969.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and one son: Ann Cox and husband, Butchand Paul "Dick" Acree of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four granddaughters: LaurynCox of Campbellsville, KY; and Allison Acree, Jennifer Acree, and ElizabethDiNapoli and husband, Louis of Victor, New York

  • One sister: FrancesSmith of Campbellsville, KY

  • Beloved nephew: Huston "Sonny" Mardis ofCampbellsville, KY

  • Several other nieces and nephews and many other relativesand friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Allen King Acree; two sisters andfive brothers: Elizabeth Mardis, Elsie Parson, Richard Smith, Huston Smith,Ralph Smith, Albert Smith, and Ben Smith.The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
