Mrs. Flossie Janet Wright, 83, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Janet Wright will be conducted at 1pmCT, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Daryl Vance, Bro. Dennis Penick and Bro. Greg Estes will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 to 9 pmCT, Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Gary Curry, Ronnie Russell, Ricky Russell, Dennis Hedgespeth, Larry Jones, Randy Sprowles, and Dennis Pennick.

Mrs. Flossie Janet Wright, 83, Green Co., KY (1927-2010)

Mrs. Flossie Janet Wright of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jimmy Taylor Russell and Anna Wood Wilcoxson Russell, was born on Tuesday, March 8, 1927 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2010 in Greensburg, Green Co., KY. She was 83 years, 8 months and 7 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she was very active and a past Sunday School Teacher. She was also owner and operator of Janet's Beauty Shop.

She united in marriage to Frank Wright on December 25, 1948 who preceded her in death on March 5, 1997.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Gayle and Ronnie Blakeman of Greensburg, Ky

  • A granddaughter: Kelli Estes and her husband Greg of Greensburg, KY

  • A great-granddaughter: Kayla Estes of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Jewell and Dale Hedgespeth of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
