Obituary: Mr. Rollin Simmons Wright, 83, Green Co., KY

He was the head of a large, respected Green Co., KY, family. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a carpenter and farmer

Mr. Rollin Simmons "Sydney Buck" Wright, 83, Greensburg, KY, departed this life Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 West Court ST, Greensburg, KY, at 11amCT, Thursday, November 11, 2010, with Rev. Kevin Brantley officiating. Interment will be in the Greensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, November 10, and after 7amCT, Thursday, November 11, 2010.



Pallbearers: Troy Davis, Jeff Davis, Corey Davis, Gary Smith, Darrell Smith, and Justin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers: Rebecca Davis, William Milby, Sherfield DeSpain, Don DeSpain, Doug DeSpain, Donna Smith, Bertie Clark, Larry Clark, and Megan Fields.

Mr. Rollin Simmons Wright, Green Co., KY (1927-2010)

Mr. Rollin Simmons "Sydney Buck" Wright was born Tuesday, June 14, 1927 in Green Co. KY. He was the son of the late Sam and Virgie Berry Wright. He departed this life Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, having attained the age of 83 years, 4 months and 24 days.

He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a carpenter and a farmer.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Gardner Wright, one grandson Matthew Scott Wright, one brother Robert Wright and one sister Mell Bibb.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Rhonda Wright, Greensburg, KY

  • One granddaughter and her husband: Brittany Wright Judd and Todd R. Judd, Greensburg, KY

  • One great grandson: Wyatt James Matthew Judd, Greensburg, KY

  • One brother: Russell Wright, and four sisters: Millie Milby, Betty Reynolds, and Mae Nunn all of Greensburg, KY., and Mammie Beard of Campbellsville, KY
The Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
