Obituary: Randall (Buck) Melton, 71, Burkesville, KY

He was a member of a large, respected Cumberland Co., KY family. He had worked in the oil drilling industry for many years

Randall "Buck" Melton, age 71, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010, at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 3pmCT, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Charles Huddleston officiating.Visitation will be after 12:30pmCT, Wednesday, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY. Burial in the Gaines Hill Cemetery, Burkesville, KY.



Pallbearers: Chad Vincent, David Everley, Joseph Vibbert, Jerry Pottorff, James Pruitt, Johnny R. Davidson, and Jamie Whitson

Randall "Buck" Melton, Cumberland Co., KY (1939-2010)

Buck was born in Burkesville, Cumberland, KY on Friday, July 14, 1939. He was a son of the late Beulah R. (Skipworth) and William Melton. He died November 8, 2010, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

He had worked in the oil drilling industry for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Melton, and one son, Bobby Douglas Melton.Survivors Include the following:
  • One daughter: Beverly Cooper, of Burkesville, KY

  • One son: Billy Melton, of West Liberty, KY

  • One sister: Reggie Taylor, of Burkesville, KY

  • Two nieces: Beth Everley, of Burkesville, KY and Christa Whitson, of Portland, TN

  • Two sons in law: Chad Davidson, of Burkesville, KY; Egor Maratovic, of Bowling Green, KY<

  • Great nieces and nephews: Chasity York, Craig Everly, Chelsie Mims, Taylor Whitson, Noah Whitson

  • Six grandchildren: Donna, Heather, Becky, Joseph, Alisha, and Briley

  • Eight great grandchildren: Kendra, Kelsie, Caleb, Cameron, Cassidy, Joe Jr., Nylia, Brooklyn
