She was a native of Cumberland Co., KY, a member of the Sunny Hill Drive Church of Christ, and was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Kemel Work, 88, of Campbellsville, KY, died at1:13pmET, Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Minister Steve Lee. Visitation will be after 10amET/9amCT, November 1, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Main ST, Campbellsville, KY.

Kemel Work, 88, Taylor Co., KY (1922-2010)

Kemel Work of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Edd Smith and Celia Smith, was born May 22, 1922, in Cumberland Co., KY. She died onSaturday, October 30, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Sunny Hill Drive Church of Christ..

She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for many years..

She united in marriage to James Work, September 27, 1947. He preceded her in death August 11, 2006.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sisters: Oleen Hill of Campbellsville, KY, and Hazel Sensing of Bowling Green, KY

  • Three nieces and two nephews: Carlene Newton of Campbellsville, KY, and Clyde Hill and Larry Sensing of Bowling Green, KY and Sue Riddle and Barbara Jean Sawyers of Albany, KY

  • Five great-nieces and two great-nephews: Ashley Crowe and Paige Orlando of Bowling Green, KY; Sabrina Massey of Nashville, TN; Linda Ray and Brenda Vitatoe of Albany, KY; Justin Newton of Louisville, KY; and Austin Newton of Richmond, KY
  • Three great-great-nieces and two great-great nephews: Riley Crowe, Henle Newton, Halle Newton, Sam Massey, and Jax Massey

  • and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one sister, Bicie Mae Garner.The family requests memorials to Brookside Cemetery.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, in charge of arrangements.
