Obituary: Billy Gene Walker, 60, Green Co., KY

He was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from General Electric after working there 35 years

Mr. Billy Gene Walker of Greensburg, KY departed this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at his home in the Summersville Community of Green Co., KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Billy Gene Walker will be conducted at 10amCT, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Robert Knight and Bro. Jimmy Tucker will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3 to 9pmCT, Friday, October 15, 2010, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main CT, Greensburg, KY, and after 7amCT, Saturday, October 16, 2010, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: David Patterson, Matthew Patterson, Jason Patterson, Wayne Patterson, Ethan Patterson, and Steve Milby.

Billy Gene Walker, Green Co., KY (1950-2010)

Mr. Billy Gene Walker son of Eugene F. Walker of Summersville and Ola Milby Sharp of Summersville, was born on Saturday, January 21, 1950 in Green Co., KY, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at his home in the Summersville Community of Green Co., KY. He was 60 years, eight months and 22 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was retired from General Electric having worked 35 years.

Besides his parents, he is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and two sons-in-law: Amanda and Danny Jessie of Columbia, KY; and Shannon and Manuel Velazquez of Summersville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Cheyenne Velazquez and Josue Velazquez both of Summersville, KY

  • A half sister: Melissa Jean Razor of Lebanon, KY

  • And a host of special friends and other relatives
The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
