Obituary: Mary Hovious White, 82, formerly of Casey Co., KY

She was a retired employee of Phillip Morris Tobacco Company, Louisville, KY

Mary Hovious White of Louisville, KY, formerly of Casey Co., KY, died at 2:48amET, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Georgetown, IN.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, October 8, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Pastor John Parkey. Burial will be in the Harden Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Scott Corbin, Alex England, Doug England, Gary England, Wilbur Phillips, and Willie Wise.

Mary Hovious White, Casey Co., KY (1927 - 2010)

Mary Hovious White was the daughter of the late Luther Alvin Hovious and Ethel Taylor Hovious. She was born Friday, December 9, 1927, in Logan Co., WV. She died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Georgetown, Floyd Co., IN, at the age of 82 years 9 months, and 26 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was a retired employee of Phillip Morris Tobacco Company in Louisville. KY.

She united in marriage to Thomas A. White, Sr. He preceded her in death July 9, 1998.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and two daughters: Richard Corbin and wife, Mary of Louisville, KY; Glendora Cecil and Roseanna Lynn Hurst of Lawrenceburg, KY; Thomas White, Jr. of Eubank, KY; and Rodney White of Pee Wee Valley, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Todd D. Patterson and wife, Emma Stashin, Scott A. Corbin and wife, Brandy, Dana M. Ashley and fiance', Nathan Tingle, Heather J. Hurst and Sarah Renee White

  • Six great-grandchildren: Spencer S. Corbin, Parker G. Ashley, Zane A. Corbin, Madison A. Ashley, Emma S. Tingle and Jade E. Stashin

  • A sister: Marjorie England of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, Ben McCloud, Joyce Tucker and Jo Ann Hovious.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
