Obituary: Sandra Fletcher Collier Estes, 63, Hardin Co., KY

She was a native of Adair Co., KY, a member of a large, highly regarded family. She was a member of the Glendale Christian Church in Hardin Co., KY and will be buried in the church cemetery there

Sandra Fletcher Collier Estes, 63, Elizabethtown, KY, died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at 1pmET/Noon CT, at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College ST, Elizabethtown, KY, with Bro. Mike Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pmET/4 to 7pmCT, Monday, September 13, 2010, and will continue after 9amET/8amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home.



Sandra Fletcher Collier Estes, Adair Co. native (1947-2010)

Sandra Fletcher Collier Estes was the daughter of Dorothy Fletcher and the late James E. Fletcher. She was born in Adair County, KY, January 24, 1947, and died September 11, 2010, in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY, at the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

She was a member of Glendale Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Randel Collier; her father, James E. Fletcher, and a brother, Bobby Fletcher.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Estes, and the following:
  • Four children: Angela (Richard Kromer) Collier of Louisville, KY; Melissa Collier and Kevin (Michelle) Estes, all of Elizabethtown, KY; and Kristin Estes of Louisville, KY

  • Her mother: Dorothy Fletcher, Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Billy (Anita) Fletcher, and Charles (Claudette) Fletcher, all of Columbia, KY

  • One sister in law: Loretta Fletcher, Columbia, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Jeff R. Manning, Levi Cecil; Katie, Bryce, Sean, and Kameron Estes; and Callie and Walton Kromer

  • Five nieces and nephews: Renae, Bridget, Kim, Steven, and Kevin
