Obituary: William Garnet Shepard, 82, Russell Co., KY

He was a member of a large, respected Russell Co., KY family. He was retired from Fruit of the Loom and was a veteran of the U.S. Army

William Garnet Shepard, Hart LN, Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the Russell Co. Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at 12 noon CT, Friday, September 10, 2010, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner DR, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Donnie Emmerson the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, September 9, 2010, at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Luttrell Cemetery in Casey Co., KY



William Garnet Shepard, Russell Co., KY (1928-2010)

William Garnet Shepard was the son of the late Eddie and Ada (Irvin) Shepard. He was born Tuesday, January 10, 1928, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, and died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 28 days.

He was retired from factory work at Fruit of the Loom. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.He is survived by has wife Rethel (Chumbley) Shepard and the following:
  • A daughter: Brenda K. Wooldridge, Russell Springs, KY

  • A son: Roger Dale (Diane) Shepard, Jamestown, KY

  • Three brothers: Eddie Shepard, Jr., Russell Springs, KY; Arnet Shepard, Greenwood, IN; and Ruby Shephard.

  • Three grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren
