Obituary: Carl Linden Tarter, 81

He was a member of a large, respected Russell Co., KY, family. He was a truck driver and was a veteran of the Korean War

Carl Linden Tarter, 81, Jamestown ST, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Grandview Rehab & Nursing Facility, Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 10amCT at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY with Rev. Tony Stephens officiating. Special music will be by Heath Tarter and Dennis Gosser. Burial will be in the Rusell Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6pmCT, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers; Brian Tarter, Heath Tarter, Fred Tarter, Sam Tarter, Wayne Medaris, and Dean Medaris.

Carl Linden Tarter, Russell Co., KY (1928-2010)

Carl Linden Tarter was the son of the late Josie Rexroat Tarter and Ottis Tarter. He was born Thursday, October 18, 1928, in Russell Co., KY and died Sunday, September 5, 2010, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 27 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two Sons: Kevin (Cathy) Tarter and Trent (Shanna) Tarter, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Brenda (Michael) Hale, Indiana

  • Six grandchildren: Natalie King, Stacy Stoddard, Brian Tarter, Bridget Holmes, Heath Tarter, and Abbie Tarter

  • Four great grandchildren: Michael King, Hailey Stoddard, Allison Stottard, and Connor Holmes.

  • One sister: Yvonne (Clyde) Holmes, Russell Springs
He was a truck driver.

Mr. Tarter was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Medaris and a brother, Fred Tarter.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
