Obituary: Agnes Warren, 89 Taylor Co., KY

She was a native of Taylor Co., KY and was a former school teacher in Taylor and Green Counties as well as in the Illinois school system. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Agnes Warren, 89, Campbellsville, KY, died at 10:09amCT, Friday, August 20, 2010 in Matthews, NC.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at theParrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville by Rev. Fred Miller and Rev. Phil Rowan. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Andrew Immel, Matthew Immel, Nicholas Immel, Warren Immel, Jesse Warren, Joe Warren Jr. and Travis Warren.

Agnes Warren, Campbellsville, KY (1920-2010)

Agnes Warren of Campbellsville, daughter of the late G. W. Money and Commie Sullivan Money, was born in Taylor County, KY, Monday, October 25, 1920. She died at 10:09amCT, Friday, August 20, 2010 in Matthews, Mecklenburg Co., NC. at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She was a former school teacher in the Taylor County, Green County, KY, and Illinois School Systems.

She united in marriage to Harlan Warren September 9, 1943. He preceded her in death December 10, 2007.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Joe Warren and wife, Judy of Irvine, KY; and Cindy Immel and husband, Steve of Matthews, North Carolina

  • Nine grandchildren: Joey Warren and wife, Angela of Lexington, KY; Travis Warren and wife, Julie of Gamaliel, KY; Jesse Warren and wife, Nikkie of Austin, KY; Warren Immel of Falls Church, VA; Sarah Immel, Andrew Immel, Nicholas Immel, Elizabeth Immel, and Matthew Immel of Charlotte, NC

  • Two step-grandchildren: Richard Price and wife, Jami of Irvine, KY; and Julie Shown and husband, Stefan of Lexington, KY

  • Eight great-grandchildren

  • Five sisters and two brothers: Cora Faulkner and husband, Tye, Eleanor Hedgespeth and husband, Lilburn, Lois McAnelly and husband, Guy and Gene Money and wife, Doloris, all of Campbellsville, KY; Annas Coleman of Bradford, IL; Sue Sandidge of Buffalo, KY; and George Money of Midland, MI

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Parson Money.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Hospice and palliative Care, Charlotte, NC Region, to Friendship Baptist Church, and/or Gideon Bibles, and may be made at the funeral home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
