Obituary: Stella Murphy, 84, Adair Co., KY She was a member of a large highly regarded South Adair County family and was a housewife. She leaves 37 direct living descendants. Stella Murphy, age 84 years, a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia and formerly of the Sparksville Community passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at 8:35amCT at the Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY after several weeks illness. Funeral service will be Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Janes and Bro. Elbert Hadley officiating. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, 8147 Burkesville RD, Columbia, KY in Sparksville community of Adair County. The family requests visiting after 3pmCT on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Steven Adams, D. J. Burt, Justin Burt, Andrew Murphy,Derrick Murphy, and Shawn Murphy. She was born September 7, 1925 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL. She was the daughter of the late Josh and Alma Coomer Wilson of Adair Co. KY. She died Friday, July 30, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 23 days. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Murphy onApril 19, 2002. She is survived by the following:
