Obituary: Steven R. Denton, 63, Indianapolis, IN

Steven R. Denton, 63, of Indianapolis, IN, died at 2:25pm, Sunday, July 18, 2010, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 1pmET/noonCT, Thursday, July 22, at Whosoever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower DR, Edinburgh, IN, with Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pmET/ 3-7pmCT, Wednesday, at the church's youth center and from 11amET/10amCT until the time of the funeral at the church. He will be buried in Rest Haven Cemetery, between S. Eisenhower DR and US 31 near their intersection, in Edinburgh, IN.



He was the son of the late Arnold and Elizabeth Denton.

He is survived by the following:
  • Daughters: Crystal Blevins, Columbus, IN; and Tracy Shake and Stephanie and Stacy Denton, all of Indianapolis, IN.
  • Brothers: Daniel and Randy Denton, both of Edinburgh, IN; and Dennis Denton, Franklin, IN

  • Sisters: Darlene Bryant and Donna Halcomb, both of Edinburgh, IN, and Lois Hall, Jenny Betts, and Barbara Denton-Erienbush, all of Ninevah, IN

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by brothers Charles and Jerry Denton and a sister, Linda Denton Bryant.The family suggests memorial contributions to Vista Care Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross ST, Edinburg, IN, is in charge of arrangements.
