Obituary: Helen Marie Sanders Wright, 70, Green Co., KY

She was a member of the Green County Church of Christ, and a homemaker who really enjoyed cooking

Mrs. Helen Marie Sanders Wright, 70, of Greensburg, KY departed this life on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Helen Marie Sanders Wright will be conducted at 4pmCT, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Craig Waddell and Danny McCain will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3:30-9pmCT, Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Saturday, July 10, 2010, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Kenny Posey, Randy Edwards, Steven Bowles, Carlos Turner, Donnie Wright, and Hubert Wright.

Mrs. Helen Marie Sanders Wright, Green Co., KY (1940-2010)

Mrs. Helen Marie Sanders Wright of Greensburg, Green Co., KY, daughter of the late Elmer Ray and Emma Jean Sanders and Sudie Mae Scott & Albert Ray, was born Monday, April 22, 1940 in Green Co. KY, and departed this life on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, in Greensburg, Green Co., KY. She was 70 years, two months and 15 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green County Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and really enjoyed cooking.

She united in marriage to Gilbert Wright on April 26, 1958 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Five sons and three daughters-in-law: Edward E. and Betsy Wright, Norman Wright, Tim and Frankie Wright, Mark Wright all of Greensburg, KY; and Brad and Natasha Wright of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two brothers: Jim Sanders of Carrollton, KY, and Albert "June Bug" Ray of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister: Martha Sanders of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two half-brothers: Ronnie Ray and Larry Ray both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two step-brothers: Bill Ray and Dee Ray both of Greensburg, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Two great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by five brothers: Arvin Mickey Ray, William Lee Ray, Terry Sanders, Ed Sanders and James Ray; three sisters: Barbara Alene Underwood, Nora Ethel Coates, and Sally Walker.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
